Llanbedrog
Llanbedrog
Llanbedrog is one of the most beautiful areas of the unique Llŷn Peninsula, a small paradise tucked away beyond the mighty mountains of Snowdonia.
The Boathouses are the most iconic self catering accommodation in Llanbedrog.
The Views
Llanbedrog is especially renowned for its sheltered sandy beach nestling under a spectacular wooded peninsular from where trees literally grow out of the sand. But the most dramatic of Llanbedrog views can be found at the top of the mountain that provides the backdrop to the Boathouses – Mynydd Tir Y Cwmwd.
Llanbedrog Beach
Llanbedrog beach is not only seen as the most sheltered beach in North Wales, a bathers paradise, but the beauty of the approach road has probably been photographed and painted more than any area in this peninsula of unforgettable scenery.
Holidaymakers
Most of the beach was bought by the National Trust in 2000 but a small part is privately owned by the owner of the Boathouses. While the beach is a mecca to thousands of holidaymakers, who come back year after year, the parish of Llanbedrog has many other facilities to offer. These include sea and river fishing, sailing and boating and pony trekking.
Hiking and Walking
For those who enjoy walking there is an abundant choice of walks ranging from long beach strolls to challenging hikes along the rugged peninsular top. Within the area there are many fantastic restaurants including the gorgeous coffee shop at The Plas Glyn Y Weddw and Aqua Beach Bar which is right on the beach.
Private Balcony Views
When from your own private balcony or terrace you can see the entire beach, viewing four miles of sand at low tide and the sea lapping up against the front wall of the property at high tide, together with the entire Snowdonia mountain range, you may just be tempted to stay where you are.
